The air was abuzz with excitement as Grades 5 to 8 students at GIIS Abu Dhabi eagerly participated in a creative writing competition organised by the Library Department to mark the occasion of World Book Day. With the theme 'Amazing Dreams', students were encouraged to explore their imagination and pen down their most extraordinary thoughts and ideas. 

Meanwhile, World Book Day was also celebrated with great enthusiasm by Grade 3 and 4 students, who immersed themselves in a captivating Book Talk session. Students shared their favourite stories and recommended reads with their peers and teachers. It was a heartwarming sight to see the joy and camaraderie that emerged from their shared love of books.

The celebrations at GIIS Abu Dhabi enlightened students about the timeless importance of literature in shaping minds, fostering empathy, and encouraging a passion for learning.
